Kyniska Advocacy Strategy 2026-2030

For a sporting world that protects, respects, and empowers.

“Our vision continues to be a sporting world that protects, respects and empowers. It’s a North Star to work towards, even when it feels far away, even when it feels like it should be a given.”

It would be easy to be blinded by the growth of women’s sport, the viewership numbers, and the investment, to decide that sport is inherently good and deliberately ignore the warning signs and risks. However, a win-at-all-costs culture that prioritises profit and performance over protection is what led us here. When power and profit become King, and accountability slips, we leave room for further harm.

“It has never been more important that our strategy be holistic in nature, and it takes a long-term approach to transformational change.”

For the next five years, we will focus on three interconnected objectives:

1. We will strive for a sporting world, led by diverse, lived-experience voices, which protects every athlete, no matter where they live or which sport they love.

2. We will always be here to ensure that those affected by abuse in sport have the support they need, when they need it.

3. We will build evidence-led, safer sporting communities with the tools to challenge harmful behaviour and keep sport safe at all levels.

“The burden of change continues to fall on the shoulders of people with lived experience of harm and abuse. The progress we do see has only been made possible because of their courage… Institutions must listen first, and act second… and carry their weight towards a safer sport for all.”

Over the next five years, we will be working tirelessly to positively influence the structures and cultures that prevent athletes and participants from doing the sport they love safely, and with agency.

Safe sport is everyone’s job.
