Joslyn Hoyte-Smith MBE OLY is an Olympian, Commonwealth medallist, coach, mentor, and passionate advocate for athlete welfare and inclusion in sport. With lived experience at the highest levels of competition, alongside many years supporting athletes and young people, Jos brings both insight and compassion to her role as Trustee with Kyniska Advocacy.
Jos served for 13 years as Chair of GB Olympians, championing the voice and wellbeing of Olympians while creating opportunities for networking, connection, and celebrating their achievements and legacy within sport. Alongside her sporting career, she also spent 14 years as a foster carer, supporting children and young people with limited opportunities and helping to create safe, supportive environments in which they could thrive.
As a Trustee of Kyniska Advocacy, Jos strongly supports the organisation’s mission to create a sporting world led by diverse lived-experience voices, where every athlete is protected, heard, and valued. Her experience as an Olympian, coach, and safeguarding advocate reflects Kyniska’s commitment to stronger athlete voices, earlier intervention, and meaningful cultural change across sport.
